Varsvlei Senior Citizen Club Embarked on an Awareness Campaign

Varsvlei Senior Citizen Club embarked on an awareness campaign at the Cleary Park Shopping Centre in the Northern Areas of Port Elizabeth.The Northern areas is crime infested where reports have been made of GBV&F.

The distribution of pamphlets to educate our Community Members with a clear message that there is assistance for those who are abused.

Many of the men that were spoken to have spoken of incidents where they were abused by their partners.This proves that GBV & F has no gender and that there are people out there that need assistance.

This will be an ongoing programme where schools, churches and communities  will be visited in the future to empower our communities to create safer environments for all people. This will create a lasting impact encouraging our Youth who have grown up in such circumstances to break the cycle.

They say REAL MEN DONT RAPE but we also say REAL WOMEN DONT ABUSE.

Together we can work to destroy this scourge and work together against a crime free society
