The North West Provincial Government hosted an event for older persons in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District on 10 September. During the event, the MEC for Social Development, Ms. Lenkopane, officially handed over donations to three local organisations:

Kamohau Home Care received beds, blankets, a JoJo tank, toiletries, seedlings, and gardening tools.

Onalerona Club for the Aged received sewing kits, wool, gym equipment, netballs, seeds, and gardening tools.

Iphuteng Centre in Verdwaal received gardening tools, seeds, seedlings, and protective gear.
The donations are intended to strengthen the capacity of community-based organisations that provide essential services to older persons in the district. Speaking at the event, MEC Lenkopane emphasised that the initiative reflects “a continuation of the spirit of service, ensuring no one is left behind.”
